Our Clarksburg Maryland office seeks a Senior Digital Hardware Engineer. This position reports Hardware & Support Director. We are looking for someone who is self-motivated, passionate about their work, and versatile enough to solve a wide variety of engineering problems. Responsibilities The qualified applicant will formulate specification, design, and develop high speed digital hardware designs Individually contribute to the development of a hardware product from the design phase through the field sustaining phase. This would encompass: Circuit Design and analysis using schematic capture and high-speed digital design tools; PCB layout; Prototype verification using lab instrumentation and with PC-based development tools; Supporting regulatory approval; Manufacturing introduction and sustaining. Must be able to work in a team environment with manufacturing and other engineering disciplines such as system, software, and mechanical; and must be able to work with internal and external contract developers. Key areas of expertise would include Digital Hardware design for portable product (battery operated) products and systems. Work with the design team, other cross functional teams and suppliers to ensure his or her overall design and each specified sub-system meets all requirements. Schedule flexibility to support critical deadlines may be required. Performs engineering design and support tasks of moderate complexity without supervision and including complex designs which may require technical assistance. Provides technical assistance in developing proposals and bids. Provides guidance and support to junior level engineers. Maintain a high ethical standard of practice, including compliance with all company procedures Qualifications US Citizenship required. US Security Clearance Required for Position Must meet eligibility requirements to access classified information. BSEE required/MSEE preferred. A basic knowledge of logic design and good firmware development practices is required. Experience designing with StrongARM, ARM, Intel XScale, Atmel AVR, and TI C55xx DSPs and other processors / DSP frameworks is preferred. Experience designing high speed digital hardware which includes processors, power supplies, DSPs, high speed memory systems, FPGA, for low power applications (battery powered products) is a plus. Experience in digital data processing and digital modulation techniques for wireless communication products, also preferred. Possesses strong knowledge of practical and theoretical design. Processes strong interpersonal skills. The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
