Location: Clarksburg, MD
Schedule: Full Time
Shift Work: None
Work Hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (flexibility) with availability for overtime
Salary Range: Hourly at $9.00 - $11.00 an hr.
Job Description:
A multi-skilled, hardworking, and efficient warehouse assistant with a proven record of accomplishment ensuring the smooth functioning and running of all warehouse concerning activities. Able to follow standard operating procedures and work in a methodical and tidy manner. Possessing a comprehensive understanding of inventory control methods and procedures. Performs quality assurance/quality control audits and develops quality assurance/quality control procedures. Must have basic knowledge of excel for inventory reporting purposes.
DUTIES INCLUDE:
Receiving, moving, checking, and storing incoming goods
Inspecting goods received and ensuring they are of accurate quantity, type, and also acceptable quality
Accurately updating inventory in our asset management consoles
Assisting in the shipment of products and equipment
Maintaining and servicing warehouse tools, machinery, and trucks
Operating pallet jack and other warehouse equipment
Moving items through the warehouse from receipt of goods to delivery
Preparing deliveries for the van drivers
Loading and unloading, vans, and other vehicles
Moving and organizing stock/equipment
SKILLS DESIRED:
Must possess good time management skills and punctuality
Warehouse experience with receiving and shipping
Personal computer literate with knowledge of email, word processing, and spreadsheet software
Ability to communicate effectively within the organization
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Demonstrated self-starter and ability to independently resolve problems
Ability to perform effectively in a fast paced environment
Ability to maintain high quality work and ability to multitask
Must be a team player
WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Will be working in a warehouse environment
Need to be able to lift over 50 lbs
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
High school diploma or GED equivalent
2 years of experience desired but not necessary for application
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
